Matia Indigo Jones
Matia was born in a log cabin on a high desert wildlife refuge and organic farm near the North Cascade Mountains. She now lives on her off-grid homestead on the east side of Hawai’i Island. She feels deep gratitude for this beautiful wild land and lives in continuous dialogue with it.
All of Matia’s artwork is inspired by the natural world and shows reverence for this magnificent planet we all share. Her processes and raw materials are mindfully chosen. The sterling silver she uses is produced from reclaimed metal in a net-zero facility. Her gems, feathers, stones, mushrooms and shells are all wildcrafted or curated with the utmost care for the natural world.
Matia expresses in a variety of media, finding inspiration in the countless forms of nature. In addition to making art, she also practices and teaches regenerative agriculture, and offers holistic healthcare services. In all aspects of life, she enjoys cultivating health, beauty, and nourishment.
Matia’s art is beautiful, not only for how it looks, but for how it is made. Each of her pieces contain a deeper unseen. Thank you for being part of a growing movement of sacred, sustainable and ethical fashion.
